Hello everyone!

Today was a fun day of crafts! The kids made little paper doll puppets with various Indian traditional outfits, ranging from ghagras to dhotis! It was an awesome, creative time for everyone. Pictures are attached.

Before making the puppets, we discussed the different clothing styles of India, why people of different age groups wear different clothes, and other conversational topics. Everyone seemed to have something interesting to share! We also talked about how these different styles show the diverse styles of India, and how every state and area has a different dressing sense. This art project tied in directly with our "Diversity in India" unit.

Next week, we'll wrap up the Diversity in India unit, and then move into our next unit, which is the Cultural unit!

Also, be sure that the kids have their proper supplies (pencils, paper, art supplies, etc.) every week!

Thanks,
3A Teachers
