Hi everyone,

Today, the class schedule was different, due to the Diya Project. Students went to their regular classrooms for normal class activity after the assembly, but participated in a Diya art project afterwards instead of going to bhajan and yoga.

In class, we learned about the 6th chapter of the Ramayana, the Lanka (or Yuddha) Kanda. Afterwards, there was a game of charades, and the kids had a lot of fun acting out various characters in the Ramayana. There are pictures attached below, so check them out! Charades was awesome!

The second part of the day was spent making Diyas for Diwali. The money raised during the Diya Service Project will be donated to the construction of our Bal Vihar Community Center, as well as to the Shraddha Eye Care Trust - Nethradhama in India in order to help the blind.

Students were also asked to research the meanings behind their names for fun. Many already knew what their names meant, which was cool! We hope to hear some interesting meanings next class.

Thanks,
3A teachers
