Today, we had a very fun and active class period! After the morning assembly, we learned about the 4th chapter of the Ramayana, the Kishkindha kanda. This was a short lesson, however, since we had a fun art project planned for later.
After the Ramayana review, we all went outside to work on a tableau - a body sculpture activity. The kids (and teachers!) had lots of fun, and we thoroughly enjoyed posing and acting out the different scenes from the Ramayana in this great weather!
Everyone had a great time showing Hanuman jumping over the ocean to get to Lanka. It was a creative and interesting activity.
Kids are now understanding the unit better, and this activity makes learning about the Ramayana a lot more fun! We'll definitely be continuing with the tableau activities in the future!
